Hide Me Sundown

If you kill a cop, there's not a sundown that will hide you.

The basis for this story came to the author from a dream. It was such a real and memorable dream, encompassing parts of the third quarter of the story, that the author spent six months thinking about who these people might be in a real-life scenario. Where did they come from? What led them to do what they did? The six months of thought gave good answers to all such questions. So, this first-time author sat down and started writing from page one. The thoughts, people, places and story spilled forth, straight to the end of this entertaining and surprising narrative. Discover the adventures of these characters living on the home front in the last months of World War II. This original, fictional story is told against the real backdrop of that World War. Every day is time-stamped with 1945 as it happened. Little windows are opened for the reader to view over the character’s shoulders, into the reality, ironies, and horrors of that war. It is the Author’s intent that the reader’s entertainment be the first result of this book. If a second result could result in a little more awareness of the civilized world’s use of war as a dreadful option to solving national problems, then maybe we could move just a little bit further away from repeating history’s killing fields.
